Your Copywriting Sales Letter

This is the most important sales letter you will ever write as it promotes YOU.  If this letter is successful in bringing you new business then you know you’re a brilliant copywriter!  Follow these tips and you should be meeting new clients in no time.

  1. Your letter is the only place where you can immediately demonstrate your writing skills.  It has to be lively and creative.
  2. Don’t use any long sentences as they will bore the reader.
  3. Make it a long letter.  People who need your services will read all you tell them.
  4. Don’t use jargon.
  5. Tell the company how it will benefit from using your services.
  6. Have you included all the copywriting services you could offer?
  7. Use the word ‘you’ a lot.
  8. Make the letterhead look professional.
  9. Offer a free trial or some other special offer to entice.
  10. Name drop, particularly if you’ve done some work for big clients.
  11. Use headlines, bold and spacing.
