Copywriting email newsletters
The tips below will help you write a newsletter that stands out in the reader’s inbox and doesn’t get deleted.
1. Half the amount you would write for a printed newsletter. 400 words is enough.
2. The more frequent the newsletter the less it should contain. Don’t fill space for the sake of it.
3. Make the text easy to scan. On the net people look at text differently; they rarely read each word, they just scan for information that interests them.
4. Write in a casual and conversational tone. People are unlikely to read an email if the information is written in a way that doesn’t interest them.
5. Answer your audience’s needs and solve their problems. They are more likely to open the letter if they believe it will benefit them.
6. Have an enticing subject line. How many emails have you deleted because the subject didn’t interest you?
7. Use links.
8. Make the newsletter specific and relevant to your audience.
