1. Find a freelance site. If you’re unsure, go to Upwork.com.
2. Get a freelancer account if you don’t already have one.
3. Create a profile on that site if you don’t already have one.
4. Identify the three smallest jobs you could tackle.
5. Apply to all three jobs. Think about how you will write your proposal, the skills you have that the client is looking for. Sell yourself!
6. Whether you win or lose, write what happened, and draw some conclusions.
7. Save your work as a Word document.
