On successfully completing this course you will receive two Certificates.
1. Blackford Centre Diploma
The first certificate is a Diploma in Dog Grooming awarded by the Blackford Centre.
It recognises your achievement, and demonstrates your competence to clients or employer. It will also give you the confidence to earn a living as a result of the knowledge you have gained.
2.Quality Licence Scheme Certification
The second certificate is provided by the Quality Licence Scheme.
At the end of this course successful learners will receive a Certificate of Achievement from the Quality Licence Scheme and a Learner Unit Summary (which lists the components the learner has completed as part of the course).
The course has been endorsed by the Quality Licence Scheme for its high quality, non- regulated provision and training programmes. This course is not regulated by Ofqual and is therefore not a government accredited qualification. The Blackford Centre will be able to advise you on any further recognition, for example progression routes to further and/or higher education. For further information, visit the Learner FAQs on the Quality Licence scheme website.
The course itself has been designed by The Blackford Centre to meet specific learners’ and/or employers’ requirements which cannot be satisfied through current regulated qualifications. The Quality Licence Scheme endorsement involves robust and rigorous quality audits by external auditors to ensure quality is continually met. A review of courses is carried out as part of the endorsement process.
This means that The Blackford centre has undergone an external quality check to ensure that the organisation and the courses it offers, meet defined quality criteria. The completion of this course alone does not lead to a regulated qualification* but may be used as evidence of knowledge and skills gained. The Learner Unit Summary may be used as evidence towards Recognition of Prior Learning if you wish to progress your studies in this subject. To this end the learning outcomes of the course have been benchmarked at at Level 4 against level descriptors published by Ofqual, to indicate the depth of study and level of demand/complexity involved in successful completion by the learner.
*Regulated qualification refers to those qualifications that are regulated by Ofqual / CCEA / Qualification Wales
